To know what Acura wanted out of the 2019 Acura RDX, all you have to know is that the default setting for the RDX’S Integrated Dynamics driving-mode system is Sport. This is good news for those who were hoping for the RDX to have a little more power and fun behind it. Of course, if you want, you can change it to the more boring Comfort mode. With the most extensive redesign in over ten years, the RDX is certainly turning heads and impressing people in and outside of the industry. The 2019 Acura RDX has truly improved, and buyers should rejoice.

The 2019 Acura RDX is the first to be designed and constructed, entirely, in the United States. The new model is in its third generation, and it’s much bigger than the last one, in almost every way. The wheelbase is now 108.3 inches, which is up from 105.7, and the overall length went from 184.4 inches to 186.7. The motor, however, is a bit smaller, but it has more torque, and the turbocharged inline-four is sure to impress. While the turbo four has seven few horsepower than the outgoing V-6, it has 280-lb-ft of torque, which is 18 more than the V-6 offers.

If you are into a lot of features, which most RDX buyers are, you are in luck. Offered in the standard package is a panoramic sunroof, heated 12-way power-adjustable front seats, two USB charging ports, a multiview backup camera and a host of safety features. If you want to spend a little cash, you can upgrade to the Technology trim package, which gets you a 12-speaker audio system, two more USB ports in the back, parking sensors and much more. If you want the best, you can get the top-level Advance trim, which gets you a 10.5-inch head-up display, a heated steering wheel and rear seats, a hands-free power liftgate and so much more. If you want to test drive a 2019 Acura RDX, you can check out the many trims available at Chapman Acura.

Without a doubt, if you want an SUV, you will still want to have a lot of control, and the 2019 Acura RDX proves that. With a 10-speed automatic, you get amazing and smooth shifting, and you will enjoy a gear for every occasion. When downshifting, it’s programed to skip multiple gears. The handling is great, especially when you consider how tall the vehicle is, and even on corners it is a suburb machine. With a smooth and well-controlled ride, along with great sound insulation, the SUV is great for long road trips and city driving, and, again, with the Sport driving-mode, you are going to have even more fun.

With an already great vehicle, Acura had a lot of work to do to impress it’s fans. Luckily, they blew away expectations, and the 2019 Acura RDX certainly stands out as one of the best SUVs on the market. If you want one that is fun to drive, comfortable and full of goodies, you can’t go wrong.

When the Acura RDX entered the market 12 years ago as a small luxury SUV, critics were very skeptical that it would create any interest. Nobody believed that there would be any demand for this type of vehicle. The RDX proved them wrong and was one of the highest in-demand cars for several years.

Over time, the RDX got a little boring. Honda kept repeating the same features each year and there were little noticeable changes to amenities. Sales continued, but they were not as strong as when the vehicle first appeared.

All of that is about to change.

The 2019 Acura RDX is something worth stopping to see. The new vehicle has improved its appearance, becoming a little more sporty looking and a little less family car-ish. Added LED lighting for the rear lights is also impressive. The overall body length has increased by almost three inches.

Even though the body length only increased by three inches, about the length of your pointer finger, the new interior design is magnificent and has significantly more room. There is noticeably more room in both rows of passenger seating, and the addition of floor board storage is a true benefit.

The dashboard has been updated and improved and a 10 inch screen has been added to manage many different functions in the car. For those who still like the steering wheel controls or hand knobs, you will find that the RDX still offers these features. All RDX vehicles will come with the standard panoramic sun roof.

The seats and many of the other features in the interior of the Acura is similar to what you would find in luxury German made vehicles. The new RDX is far superior than previous models of the vehicle because it poised itself to compete with luxury makers this time instead of just trying to be one. Whether you want a new RDX or another Acura, you should head on down to Chapman Acura to check one out.

The engine is very good for a four-cylinder. It operates smoother and much quieter than comparable engines in the Mercedes SUV as well as the Lexus and Lincoln models that are similar shape and size. Many people who have reviewed the new RX have stated that the superior engine is one of the best features of the model.
While there are still a few things that critics have said can be improved on the RDX, it is an overall superior quality product. Critics are always going to find something that they do not like, that is why they are critics.

The RDX is available in a few different packages this year, with the topped out package bringing the price of the vehicle to right about $50,000. This is not too bad when you consider that some of its active competitors can hit the $90,000 range quickly with the exact same amenities packages.

If you loved the RDX in the past, you will love it even more now. It is sportier, roomier and definitely has the get up and go that you do not expect from an SUV. It is a nice vehicle that will compliment any type of lifestyle.

The 2019 Acura RDX has been finally revealed at the New York Auto Show. The car was previewed earlier at the Detroit Auto Show, but was advertised as the prototype of the new RDX. The reveal at the New York Auto Show is the finalized version of the Acura RDX, and it is something to be excited about.

Acura has stated that this is the most extensive makeover of a vehicle that they have done to date. The Acura RDX has literally been revamped panel by panel both inside and out, and the results are fabulous.

Super Handling All Wheel Drive

The all-wheel drive feature of the new RDX has been updated to include the super handling version made by Acura. In the previous release of the RDX, the all-wheel drive feature was replaced by a more economical version then the super handling version used in previous models. The result was devastating and many people were disappointed with the poor handling quality. Acura has now put the latest version of the super handling all-wheel drive back into the RDX. To see how well one handles, take one for a spin at  Chapman Acura. You are sure to fall in love with the Acura RDX.

New Engine Features

The new RDX is a 10 speed automatic. IT is the first passenger vehicle to offer this type of system in a car. The horsepower remains the same as the older engine, 272 horse, but the torque has been increased by 28 pounds. This gives the engine faster reaction time with the same horsepower.

Overall, the RDX is a smaller version of the crossover Acura MDX. However, the styling has been fine-tuned and is very sleek and sharp looking. The RDX will retain its Jewel headlights, but will now come with 7 LED lights installed instead of 5 for better lighting.

The RDX has a gloss black grill that gives it a sleek look and air vents have been added to the front that are similar to those found on other Acura vehicles. The RDX will also come with special 20 inch grey alloy wheels and larger exhaust tips for a sporty look.

The interior has also become very sporty. The seats are suede and have very fine stitching to make them look sporty. The interior is roomy and there is a large cargo space. Overall space has increased since the wheel base for this model is larger than previous models. Floorboard storage is also available.

The most impressive change for the Acura RDX is the inclusion of the True Touchpad Interface. The touchpad is a 10 inch screen that is designed for easy use so that the driver does not have to look away from the road to use. The touch panels are 1:1 meaning that wherever you touch it responds to that action. It is a very updated control panel that is sure to become a favorite among RDX drivers.

Overall, the new RDX is a stunning compliment to the RDX product line. The complete makeover both on the interior and exterior of the car makes this new model a very exciting choice when searching for a new vehicle. The price has not yet been announced for this new vehicle. Acura has stated, however, that it should go into production soon and be available towards the end of 2018.
