The Acura ILX with its superior engineering, upscale interior, great handling and incredible performance, has long been considered a great value for the price. However, the updated 2019 Acura ILX is now an even better value than before. That’s because the prices announced by the manufacturer just before the entry-level luxury sedan hits the floors of dealerships nationwide is much lower than anticipated. The big price drop now gives the 2019 Acura ILX a starting price of $26,895. That’s more than $2,000 less than the 2018 model of the Acura ILX.

What makes this price reduction even more amazing is that the 2019 version of the Acura ILX has added significant upgrades. Its beak-shaped front fascia has replaced with a more attractive grille. Plus, the vehicle has also enjoyed some significant technological upgrades. The 2019 Acura ILX has added new self-driving technology as well as an array of new safety features and technologies that are now standard equipment on the vehicle. The 2018 Acura ILX had been third in sales popularity behind the Audi A3 and the CLA-Class Mercedes-Benz. The price reduction may be Acura’s way of increasing the ILX’s sales numbers.

The ILX is Acura’s entry-grade luxury sedan. It’s considered by many to have the look and feel of a good upscale alternative to the non-luxury compacts on the market. That’s because as an entry-level luxury sedan it has good features, decent nameplate popularity and a more affordable price than the top German cars in its class like Mercedes-Benz and Audi. The upgrades Acura has made to the 2019 ILX has made it more versatile, fuel-efficient and attractive and by lowering its price the Japanese automaker has ensured it’s within the budget of more car buyers looking for greater value in a luxury sedan. With the next generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class and 2019 CLA250 a safe bet to cost at least the current price of $34,095 and the 2018 Audi A3 sedan having a starting price of $32,925, the 2019 Acura ILX can boast of offering lots of value for its new lower price. This upgraded ILX will give shoppers an affordable upscale alternative to the German luxury sedans against which it competes. This is the second time the Acura ILX has been refreshed since it was released in early 2012 and car buyers will now decide if it’s increased value makes it a legitimate competitor in the luxury car segment.

The redesigned 2019 ILX has a host of exciting standard features. They include a power driver’s seat, heated front seats, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, keyless access, push-button start, a power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control and the full AcuraWatch suite of safety and self-driving technology. Add the Premium and Technology packages and you get ELS Studio premium audio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, leather upholstery and a power passenger seat. The 2019 Acura ILX, which includes an ILX A-Spec model, hit dealerships on October 10th.

Its over $2,200 price reduction means buyers can now get better value for their money.

For 2019, Acura has given the ILX a major aesthetic overhaul that includes a sharper face, new taillights and rear fascia, as well as a redesigned lower diffuser. The automaker has also added more standard safety tech, more responsive infotainment technology and infused an updated design language that make this vehicle look very attractive. What is even better is that even with all the improvements and upgrades that Acura has made to the 2019 ILX the automaker has actually lowered its base price by thousands of dollars. This has made this incredible automobile an even better value for buyers.

Acura has upgraded the interior of the 2019 ILX and made it more stylish, attractive and comfortable. That includes its new expresso interior motif, a driver’s seat with power-adjustable lumbar controls, a new-look two-screen infotainment system layout with new software that makes it more intuitive and its response time 30 percent faster and it has both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Even the start button has a more stylish look. Plus, there’s a new dashboard design that makes all important screens and gauges visible at a glance and puts all the key controls at your fingertips.
