Chapman Acura has been awarded the prestigious Precision Team – Dealership of Distinction Award by American Honda Motor Company.

This award is earned by dealerships based on high customer satisfaction ratings, excellence in all areas, including sales, service and parts, and employees working together as a team to achieve goals and exemplify the core values of the Acura brand.

“Here at Chapman Acura we are all very excited about receiving the top award Acura offers it’s dealerships,” said Brandon De Rollo, General Sales Manager at Chapman Acura. “The team has an added sense of accomplishment and is very appreciative of the recognition. Our people take customer service very seriously.”

For Tucson Acura customers, this award means they will experience superior service in all areas of the dealership and offers the best ownership experience in the business, De Rollo explained. The Precision Team award also means Chapman Acura has set a high standard for client satisfaction and has met and exceeded customer expectations. This superior service experience begins the moment a customer visits the dealership.

“All departments greet customers with a high level of respect and appreciation. We try to show and prove that we genuinely care,” De Rollo emphasized. “We make the sales and service process simple and easy, and are always cognizant of our customer’s time and make every effort not to waste any of it. We follow up after every transaction to make sure our customers are completely satisfied and keep in touch periodically ensuring their ownership experience is an excellent one.”

In addition to signage and banners, the dealer also received a custom trophy to display in the showroom. From sales to service, earning the Precision Team – Dealer of Distinction Award sets Chapman Acura apart from other dealerships in Arizona.

Taking care of your new Acura is crucial from the second you drive it off the lot at Acura in Tucson. Breaking in your car can impact the way it performs for the entirety of its life. Your car’s parts need time to settle in before you drive like there’s no tomorrow, much like your feet in a new pair of shoes.

Most modern cars usually come with a recommended break-in period between 600 to 1,200 miles, though there are some variations. To fully understand all of the specifics of your Acura, the first thing you should do is read your owner’s manual. This may sound tedious, but you will more than likely find all of the information you are searching for; including information on the break in period of your new Acura.

The break-in period basically comes down to the piston rings. When a car is first assembled, these certain little bands do not exactly fit and need to set properly. The driving time your owner’s manual recommends is how long it takes for the piston rings to settle into place and create a tight seal that can’t leak oil.

As a rule of thumb, be gentle with the car for the first thousand miles. The rpm of the car should not surpass 4,500 to ensure that the piston rings settle properly and the car will run much longer than usual. Try working the throttle more gently to avoid stressing the engine.

During these first thousand miles or so, it is also important to limit your speed.  Lower initial speeds will ease the car into the process of driving. Once it has adjusted then it is okay to rev up the engine and hit the highway. Although it isn’t a mandatory part of breaking in the car, it would also be beneficial to stop by an Arizona Acura dealer to get the oil changed near the end of the break in period, or after 1,000 miles.
